A heavy-duty connector consists of a connector insert and its protective housing. The insert is therefore the heart of the heavy-duty connector. It is responsible for electrical functioning. Connector inserts from Weidmüller are made from high-quality insulation materials, which allow secure transmission of high voltages in a tight space. Moreover, we use only a single type of plastic in our entire product line. This plastic is UL listed, and suitable for railway applications. This allows unlimited world-wide use of the RockStar® connector.
The HDD series with machined crimp contacts is designed for high pole counts in tight spaces. Users save installation space with the smaller design, without having to limit the number of poles. The wire connection level is designed as a crimp contact. The established crimp connection has been used as a standard for decades. Crimp contacts are not delivered with the inserts.

With the HE series, the user is free to choose the wire connection method. In addition to the proven tension-clamp connection, we can also deliver with a screw or crimp connection. Weidmüller is also the first manufacturer to supply this series with the Quick Termination and PUSH IN wire connection. You can choose the connection method that you need.

The HSB series enables you to carry 35A per contact simultaneously. Assembled with screw connections, for secure and reliable connections. The wire connection level is designed as a screw element. All screw connections are equipped with a wire protection spring.

The MixMate series of connectors can simultaneously transmit high rated currents and voltages as well as signals. In addition to the crimp connection method with crimp contacts for the HX, HE and HD series, the screw and axial screw connections are available for securing the wire.
