The KDSW features a special ring in the shape of a truncated cone. The ring enables connections between cable and lines with single-wire armouring and lead-sheath armouring. This ensure a conductive connection between the cable and the cable gland. In addition, the KDSW comes with two seals which provide sealing for the outer and inner parts of the cable insulation. The cable armouring is located between the inner and outer insulation. When the cable gland is ordered together with a neoprene seal, the seal allows temperatures from -35°C to +90°C. When using a silicone seal, a temperature range of -60°C to +180°C is possible. When both sealing materials are used, it is possible to achieve IP66 or IP67 protection. The KDSW is permitted for use with pressure-resistant Ex d encapsulations and increased safety Ex e.
