Energy meters
Many companies would like to save energy at source, use energy more efficiently and maximise the availability of energy networks. This not only shows responsibility, but is also recommended for economic reasons.
Weidmüller energy meters can do far more than just measure the consumption of electrical energy. For example, the basic parameters for energy quality can also be determined or the currents of all conductors can be analysed individually or differentially - e.g. with our Energy Meter.
This allows you a quick status overview of the electrical energy in your production facility. This applies both in relation to efficient usage, as well as to quality, stability and availability.

More and more non-linear consumers and plant components are finding their way into production facilities.
They influence, for example, mains frequency, phase shift and amplitudes of the phases.
This has an influence on the quality of the electrical energy and thus on plant availability.
The energy analysers measure all quality parameters- from the parameters of symmetry to transients - and many more.
After comprehensive testing, optimisation steps can then be initiated to maximise the efficiency and availability of the plants.
Measuring instruments with a simple S0 interface are widespread. However, they do not allow measured values to be passed directly into the internal network – so, until now, a gateway was required for each measuring instrument.
With the Energy Logger D550, pulse signals from up to 15 measuring instruments can be collected, saved and forwarded via a LAN interface.
The particularly compact Energy Logger D550 is the cost-effective solution to simplify and accelerate collection and forwarding of consumption and process data.
Current transformers convert "high" currents (< 5000 A) of a 1 or 3 phase network into "low" currents (1 A or 5 A).
Our energy measuring devices require these current transformers in order to record and convert the electrical parameters.
With the ready-to-connect Plug&Play boxes and the Connectivity boxes, Weidmüller provides simple and cost-effective retrofit solutions that can be installed with little effort.
Existing machines can be easily integrated into the IoT network without extensive intervention in the electrical cabinet structures. The boxes thus serve as data collectors and at the same time are the basis for the evaluation and transparent display of your energy consumption. All you need is a network connection near the Plug&Play boxes.
Various measuring devices can be integrated into the housings of the Connectivity Boxes, either to collect consumption data or to monitor the power quality - regardless of whether they are electrical or compressed air consumers.
Software for configuration and analysis
The user-friendly user interface of the ecoExplorer go allows quick integration and configuration of the measuring devices.
With ecoExplorer go you can easily create a commissioning report with which you can carry out a connection check and thus verify the correct functioning of the devices.
Knowledge is power - with our Industrial IoT sensors you can record important device data of your existing and new equipment with regard to mechanical and electrical variables. As a result you gain valuable information for important decisions regarding the operation and maintenance of your plants.
