As part of the u-remote system, Weidmüller offers a specialised solution for controlling small motors with a current requirement of 0.5 A to 2 A, which can also be used to control valve flaps. The pulse width modulation modules can be adjusted within the switching frequencies up to 40 kHz and the modules can also be switched in the motor control with the aid of push/pull output stages, e.g. to change the direction of rotation.
Weidmüller’s stepper motor module is efficient and flexible for use in the automation of robots, handling systems or placement machines with stepper motors. Variably adjustable operating parameters as well as a wide range supply from 12 V DC to 50 V DC make the module flexibly applicable for various target applications. Six integrated, parameterizable encoder or digital inputs and two digital outputs with 0.5 A make the control module a complete solution in the smallest of spaces.
As with all modules of the u-remote system, the features are convincing - from the modular design and exchangeable electronics to the removable and pluggable terminal strip. The module electronics supplies the connected actuators from the output current path (UOUT)
Inputs can be parameterised; up to 3-wire + FE; accuracy 0.1% FSR
Analogue input modules of the u-remote system are available in many variants with different resolutions and wiring solutions. Variants are available with 12- and 16-bit resolution, which record up to 4 analogue sensors with +/-10 V, +/-5 V, 0...10 V, 0...5 V, 2...10 V, 1...5 V, 0...20 mA or 4...20 mA with maximum accuracy. Each plug-in connector can optionally connect sensors with 2- or 3-wire technology. The parameters for the measurement range can be individually set for each channel. In addition, each channel has its own status LED. A special variant for Weidmüller interface units enables current measurements with 16-bit resolution and maximum accuracy for 8 sensors at a time (0...20 mA or 4...20 mA).
The module electronics supply the connected sensors with power from the input current path (UIN).
Available for TC and RTD; 16-bit resolution; 50/60 Hz suppression
The involvement of thermocouple and resistance-temperature sensors is indispensable for a variety of applications. Weidmüller's 4-channel input modules are suited for all common thermocouple elements and resistance temperature sensors. With an accuracy of 0.2% of the measurement-range end value and a resolution of 16 bit, cable break and values above or below the limit value are detected by means of individual channel diagnostics. Additional features such as an automatic 50 Hz to 60 Hz suppression or external as well as internal cold-junction compensation, as available with the RTD module, round off the scope of function.
The module electronics supply the connected sensors with power from the input current path (UIN).
Measuring bridges in the form of strain gauges are used to measure weight, torque or oscillation. Fast or exact measurements are often required here, for example when it comes to determining computational data.
The strain gauge module from u-remote provides an accuracy of up to 0.01% with two 24-bit resolution channels. Calibration and gauging enable industrial applications. A tare function can be triggered per channel, processes are optimised and costs reduced. The Calibration by an independent body can be performed easily via the u-remote web server. User-friendly calibration via the web server has a password protection as well as documentation functionality in order to secure settings.
The u-remote strain gauge module enables the parallel analysis of measurement data from up to four load cells on a single channel.
Power measurement module for 1 or 3 phases, rated voltage up to 300 Veff
The power module serves to measure and process currents & voltages of single-phase or three-phase loads up to a rated voltage of 300 Veff AC (phase & neutral conductor). Reactive, apparent, harmonic and active power, energy consumption, phase angle and many other electrical parameters are measured and calculated directly with the module. Which data are transmitted via the process data of the various fieldbuses can be selected using parameters.
The power measurement module can easily be integrated into existing automation solutions using u-remote. If using conversion current measuring transducers, no intervention needs to be made into the existing installation.
Currents up to 1 A or 5 A can be measured directly, higher currents can be measured with plug-on or conversion current measuring transducers from Weidmüller.
2- or 4-wire connection; 16-bit resolution; 4 outputs
The analogue output module controls up to 4 analogue actuators with +/-10 V, +/-5 V, 0...10 V, 0...5 V, 2...10 V, 1...5 V, 0...20 mA or 4...20 mA with an accuracy of 0.05% of the measurement-range end value. An actuator with 2-, 3- or 4-wire technology can be connected to each plug-in connector. The measurement range is defined channel-by-channel using parameterisation. In addition, each channel has its own status LED.
The outputs are supplied from the output current path (UOUT).

This gateway allows the integration of up to 15 decentral IP67 SAI-PRO Subbus modules per u-remote module.
The module electronics supply the connected sensors with power from the input current path (UIN).
SIL3; OSSD outputs; wire breakage and short-circuit detection
Safety technology is of central importance in industrial automation and machine building. If you want to reduce risks and avoid dangers for people and environment, you need solutions which satisfy stringent requirements and statutory specifications. The safety modules of the u-remote system have key features such as emergency-stop circuits and wire-breakage or short-circuit detection. They meet all SIL 3 requirements according to IEC 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1, category 4, PL e, and support the safe operation of your system.
By safely shutting down the downstream output modules, the safety modules attain maximum safety with optimum control. All input sensors are independently supplied via separate voltage paths and report the current machine status to the control unit. Restarting is either carried out in manual mode or using the autostart function. In addition, Weidmüller safety modules reduce maintenance and service times and improve response times in case of emergency – thanks to a concept of maximum transparency, e.g. using OSSD outputs.
The module electronics supply the connected actuators from the output current path (UOUT).
10 A feeding; input or output current path; diagnosis display
Weidmüller power feed modules are available to refresh the power of the input and output current path. Monitored by the voltage diagnosis display, these feed 10 A in the corresponding input or output path. A time-saving start-up is guaranteed by the standard u-remote plug with proven and tested "PUSH IN" technology for reliable contacts. The power supply is monitored by a diagnosis display.
A wide range of accessory modules is available for individual requirements of machine and plant engineering. Various potential distribution modules are available for the supply of sensors with 2- to 4-wire connection technology directly from the remote I/O system. These offer 16 "PUSH IN" potential points and supply your application with any auxiliary potential available. An empty module, where the system bus and voltage supply are looped through, allows you to plan expansion slots in a system and to start these up without any interruptions if required.
