Modular terminals are available with many different types of connection. It is not the rule that a manufacturer of modular terminals supplies every possible connection system in his range. However, manufacturers who can supply "all connection systems" from their own products clearly have an advantage. Such manufacturers can cover the most diverse requirements in the global marketplaces for industrial and process automation as well as transport engineering. |

The electronics department develops and markets electronic components for industrial automation, process automation, and energy production. These components are used both inside and outside of the electrical cabinet. The focus of this electronics sector is on processing digital and analogue signals. These signals can be converted, normalized, protected and prepared for communication. For these purposes we offer signal converters and input/output devices for Fieldbus communication based on industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus systems. Product solutions are also available for the following fields: surge protection, protecting and amplifying digital signals, supplying devices inside and outside of the electrical cabinet, Ethernet data communication and for pre-assembled system cables. All of these products feature a mechanically convenient installation process, an optimized handling of electrical connections and safe wire connections. The products themselves are very well suited for harsh industrial applications. They are suitable for use in a large range of operating temperatures and feature excellent resistance against electromagnetic interference. With this portfolio, the electronics department features products which cover the full industrial applications spectrum for the transferring and conditioning of power, signals and data. |

The Powerbus System for Decentralized Automation
FieldPower® is a comprehensive product line that provides decentralized power distribution for machines, industrial plants, automotive manufacturing, or wherever power must be distributed over long distances. FieldPower® products are simple and easy to install; this provides you with more flexible commissioning, easier maintenance and more rapid project scheduling. FieldPower® covers decentralized power supplies, PowerBox distributor boxes, decentralized maintenance switches, connectors (with optional fuse function) and a comprehensive line of accessories. The power is distributed via an uncut round or ribbon cable. The power can be picked up at any point close to the consumer. Branches and feeders to starters and frequency converters can be "permanent" or "pluggable", which reduces the length of cable to be laid and cuts the installation time. |
